It occurred to me that my name is probably confusing. In my very first blog entry, I managed to put 'Tim' in the title, while the author name reads 'Caleb'. My full name is Timothy Caleb Nordloh. My mom called me Caleb, and most of my family and friends call me Caleb. Since I don't want to appear to be a picky person in the workplace, I don't mention my second name, so they call me Tim. I'm not the type of person who associates the name to the heroic, but bloody biblical history of Caleb, or the pious biblical history of Timothy, so the connotations of either are lost on me, other than as anecdotes and and incomplete references, as seen at the beginning of this sentence. I do find it ironic that in both cases, they were essentially sidekicks, like me.
Anyway, it's pretty strange to be known by an alias, like some sort of criminal, but in my case it's just a non-aggressive personality trait, where I don't insist on one or the other with either my family or work. I truly don't have a preference at this point except that, if my mom was alive, I would hope that she always calls me Caleb, like she did when I was a child.

Clothespin art?
My wife is making little Christmas Fairies from clothespins, not the ones with the springs, but the old-fashioned ones that are a single piece of wood. She is making white ones, hawaiian ones, chinese ones etc. I'm kind of upset, she appears to not want to cover my favorite demographic, the 'alien' ones. Little green ones with antennas, to honor our future alien overlords would be good. Of course, I'm more of a suckup than she is, so of course she only makes the human clothespin fairies.

Introduction to Tim
In fairness to those I have known in the past, whose blogs I read in a subversive, potentially scary fashion, I think it's best that I go ahead and make my own blog, although I'm not quite sure what person would be interested in what I have to say.
I imagine the only people coming here are those who typed 'caleb nordloh' or 'tim nordloh' (you didn't bother to capitalize my name in the search, did you!) into google, since I have no accomplishments to brag about, nor am I notorious or famous. I imagine you are either a most likely a potential employer, or coworker, since I rarely form personal connections with many people. I bid you welcome. This page is just for you, feel free to snoop around. This is the Internet, not my sock drawer, you are free to be here, just like me.
To my friends, family, and enemies, I bid you welcome as well.
Well, that's enough about you, let me talk about myself for a while, this is after all my blog, with the goal of letting a little bit of myself be seen by those of you who are, or were, close to me.
I'm a young professional, firmly ensconced into a career where specialized technical knowledge makes me a 'person in demand'. I would say that, although I earned my degree in Computer Science, and learned many things on my own, my career in the IT industry was essentially orchestrated by one Michael McCauley, an ex-navy Unix Administrator (which sums up about 1% of what he knows). I can safely say that my association with him is responsible for probably 60% of my earning potential.
I'm also a father of two boys, each brilliant in his own way, in the obviously unbiased opinion of a parent.
I am not a big blogger, hence the fact that I haven't really made an attempt to blog up to this point, and I don't really know what this space is for. I'm imagining essentially a place for my opinions of presidential candidates, books and whatnot, except for this initial introductory post. In the future, that's what you will most likely find here, if I manage to maintain the self-discipline to make regular posts.
